We are a flat green bowls club very near to Derby City centre and as well as a busy programme we also host touring teams, representative matches and charity events.
The club was established in 1913 and currently we have a membership of around 50 men and women.
Our club is the team headquarters for the Derbyshire EBF County team and we provide first class facilities including two greens, each with six rinks, three changing rooms, a clubroom with kitchen and bar and catering facilities for up to ninety people. We have also been awarded a Food Hygiene Rating of 5. We also have car parking for approximately 20 cars and we have off-road accommodation for a full size coach.
We play league and cup matches in both "Bowls England" and "English Bowling Federation" formats (mixed men and women).
We also have a full fixture list of mixed friendly matches which are played throughout the season, and a regular turn out of players enjoying a "roll up".
The club has a coach who can guide new and existing players.
So whether you are a competitive bowler, someone who prefers a friendly game, or just starting to learn the game you will be made most welcome.
